Why We Give

At LLS, we plant the roots of the future.
We know the world our children will inherit is uncertain.
But we also know what they’ll need: imagination, compassion, and courage to make it a better place. 

Our Goals

1. Scholarships for Children
We’re raising funds so that 10% of our students can join our community through full or partial scholarships. Every gift helps open our doors wider to families from all backgrounds.

2. Francophone Artists in Residence
We invite artists from across the Francophone world to perform and create with our students.
In partnership with the Alliance New York, we will sponsor these artists to visit neighboring schools, extending the reach of their performances and creative workshops to more children across our community.

Throughout our  17 year journey, LLS has continually adapted to meet the evolving needs of our students and families. The level of trust in our community taught us everything we needed to learn about pushing boundaries, standing confident in our freak, being reliable and being accountable. And it taught me how to create a community of people who believe that there is some work to do to create a  better world for them. We all do our best work in community, that is to say, we can only really solve problems together.Thank you!
